ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author's name is Eduardo Zapata, he was born in Piura, a small city located in the north of Peru, he is half peruvian, and half colombian, he also has chinese roots because of his grandmother whose comes from Hong Kong. He was born in Peru but raised between Colombia and Peru due to his two nationalities and because of his parents was living both countries.

He studied in several places even in different cities in both countries, some places where he lived during his childhood were Piura, Chiclayo, Tarapo, Lima, Medellin, Santa Rosa, San Pablo and Barbosa mainly.
He started to develop different abilities during his pass for elementary and high school, he was always outstanding, he made first and second grade in one year due to his development in the learning process, developing fast his abilities of reading and writing, during his pass by the next grades in elementary school he discovered his love for social studies, history, geography and English, calling the attention to his teachers and receiving several distinctions and obtaining recognition and the first place during the elementary school from first grade to fifth grade.

In the high school there were no changes, his performance was good, increasing his love for social studies and languages in general, the reason was that he moves to another city and another school where the demands were harder and the studies were focus in a global vision introducing different elements including contens such as botany, zoology, chemistry, geography as a single study, universal history and more. In this time he was inside the best places in his classrooms due to the variety in population, the competences among students and the bases he acquired in his previous schools that were relatively low and weak.

After hiss pass by high school he was encouraged to continue his studies, this time to get a degree. He started studying computer engineering to follow with his family tradition, although he finished his studies he was not satisfied about what he was going to make in the future so he decided to do something that really fill him, that's why he decided to go back to Colombia and do a test for a public university, the first attempt was for political sciences but he couldn't get it, his second attempt was for sociology but he couldn't do it again, so, pressured by his father and the time, he decided to look for another options in private universities where he could find English teaching at Luis Amigo Catholic University.

From the first semester he could feel satisfied with the contents and belonging entirely, with the pass of the semester he reforced his beliefs about his future profession. Receiving good critics and several strenghts.
When he was in the fifth semester he applied for an exchange in United Stated for being a teacher in a public school there, he received an offer to work at San Diego, California, in an elementary school called "Gage Elementary School" where he started to work in Kindergarten teaching spanish and some subjects in English, during this trip he develops his abilities in English and acquired several knowledge, techniques and strategies on how perform in the teaching profession, he reforced his beliefs, thoughts and practices.

Then, six months later, he went back to Colombia and started to work as an English teacher in Comfenalco Antioquia, an enterprise that offers educational services in different levels of English, he also work at the same time at Marco Fidel Suarez school as an english teacher with seventh graders, He is still doing his work in both institutions while he finishes his major in English teaching.
